ARTIST STAMENTS
Peruvian Painter and Sculptor, born in Lima - Peru. I've always been
related to art for the following reason, I can repeat those words that I
have never forgotten:
"The scientists see the truth in the beauty, and we artists look at and shape
the beauty of the truth in the canvas, sculpture, music or in writing".
Painting was conceived of as universal language, capable of moving our
emotions without any reference to recognizable elements. In each one
of my paintings, the daily hard reality of life is displayed, blended
between the face of poverty and the colourful traditions of the Andean
Villages.
The expression in their faces clearly show the movement of theirs
souls,from fear to laughter, hate and love, this hidden scream of pain or
smile from the happiness. Impact me and I have the necessity to
portrait it.
In my glass sculptures, varied creations emerge from the kiln, the
implied fragility, the visible flows and strengths, the transparency and
reflection of the colours, exposure of the inner matter. With the use of
clay, the colour, fire range, and the symbolic representation I used as
part of the design, emerging each ceramic creation from the depths of
my very fantasies and imagination.
My productions are artistic expressions of my inner self. They sum up
what I feel, I am and see through time.
